The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport is currently constructing the first of three new 14-unit T-Hangars on our new East Taxilane along State Route 193. The first T-Hangar unit is currently on track for occupancy in early-November 2012. The second T-Hangar is planned for construction in the summer of 2014 with occupancy in September 2014. The third and final T-Hangar is planned for construction in the summer of 2015 with occupancy in September 2015.

The project will include a combination of 42’ and 44’ wide T-hangars, three buildings of fourteen units each.  The T-hangars will be available with 12’ and 14’ door heights.  There will also be “L” shaped units at the end of some buildings, available for rent individually or as part of a larger T-hangar unit.  The Airport’s current and old 824 sf. T-hangars eventually will be replaced with these new 1,050 sf. T-hangars and possibly with some larger 1,276 sf. and 1,392 sf. Units based on demand.  The first T-Hangar, T-Hangar A, is already fully leased.

Each of the T-hangars units will have standard features of electric bi-fold doors; personnel swings doors; concrete floor; adequate overhead lighting; and electric outlets in each unit.  Each T-hangar will be individually metered for electricity and the tenants of these units will be responsible for their individual electrical usage cost.  The buildings will be constructed to an occupancy standard, which allows for maintenance of the Lessee’s aircraft in the hangar within the limits of Hangar Lease Agreement.  We have established a rental rate for the first 5 years as detailed in the Rate Schedule Link.

In order to secure one of these new units, the Airport is requiring a Lease Option Agreement from all prospective tenants.  Each tenant must complete an Option to Lease Agreement and pay a $100 non-refundable deposit in order to be considered for a new T-hangar unit.  All lessees will be provided the opportunity to choose their preferred hangar unit based on their position on the date of their Option to Lease Agreement, and receipt of deposit. 

If all the units you are requesting are full, you may submit a New Hangar Waiting List Form, which requires a $25 non-refundable deposit.  This form, accompanied with the $25 deposit, can be mailed to the YNG Airport Administration office at 1453 Youngstown-Kingsville Rd NE, Vienna, OH  44473 and the future tenant may call any time to find out their position on the waiting list.

The Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport is a Part 139 airport with a 9,003-foot long main 14 – 32 runway, 5,003-foot long crosswind 5 – 23 runway, with ILS, NDB, ASR, and VOR Instrument Approaches, a 24 hour / 7 day per week FAA Air Traffic Control Tower, and a National Weather Service office.  Additionally, the Airport operates a 2-shift Maintenance & Operations Division providing snow & ice removal service on a 24 hour / 7 day per week basis.  The Airport has on-airport Aircraft Crash Rescue and Fire Fighting Services and security provided by the Vienna Township Police Department.  The Airport also features a full service FBO, Winner Aviation (including 24-hour fuel and ground handling service, aircraft airframe, engine and avionics maintenance, Part 135 Charter Operation, and Aircraft Sales), Mikeee’s Restaurant in the terminal, Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, and the Western Reserve Flight Training Center.
